Thanks for the new server ID. I have been following your thread with the problems you had to get slinger going. I am getting the same thing you were. Slinger cycles between green and orange on channel 300, I get sound, but no picture. I followed what you posted using get cam info and rom explorer to tranfer my #s to the bin in the slinger dump folder, but still the same. No Picture. I know I am hooking up to the server, my guide is fully populated, so I think its a bin issue. I am using a 301-13 and a 501 receiver. Same results on both. Any ideas??

You are all forgetting that you have to also re-program the "IKS channel" for the new server ID to take affect. Tab 3 guys, "IKS Channels".

Dish: Channel 100-00113

I allways reprogram all from scratch that means application (in my case Dish 510), then write network configuration (LAN automatic) and Port the same as the program show ,Punch two times the scan channels and when apear on the list chose DN and write then my bin made as pero Ozone instructions for private and load and write to slinger....Each time the same sometimes I get blinking green but more often solid orange

Thanks for the response. I did all that, step by step, but still no go. Slinger seems to be working. Cycling between green and orange about every 5 seconds. I have been at it for about a week now, so I am going to take a break for a few days. I have another verizon fios router coming, and then I'll try again.
Has anyone tried the Vip622 with slinger. I have a modded 622, but with slinger, receiver will not boot. Will go to aquiring signal for about a minute, then comes back with error message. Just curious if anyone has it working.

Not working here. Used to work on the old server. I upgraded my computer to V9, edited the settings.txt file to the new server, put in the public IKS server on my slinger.

I can get the free channels but my slinger goes to solid orange when I flip to any channel.

OK, I did it again. It's working now.

I only made one change: I disconnected the ethernet cable from the slinger box when I was programming the IKS channel configuration. If that's all it takes then somebody better get to work on those crappy instructions. What to connect and when to connect it is apparently beyond the scope of that author.

It's working for me right now and has been for me since 10:30 EST, (9:30 CST). The server is UP. Better than the old server as a matter of fact.

Panch, you gotta check everything, man. Get the latest software package from CC, make sure your port 10000 is open. As for me I used a private bin at rev 105 and a 301-13 receiver and its working very well. Use the port checker tool:
hxxp://www.portforward.com/help/portcheck_help.htm. When you program your slinger remove the ethernet cable. I think you have to do that. I'm sure you know there are a lot of things that can go wrong so all I can say is good luck.

I can't confirm but I can tell you that from day 1 I have always disconnected what is not needed and visa versa. Also, everytime we get a new version of the software I always load everything from scratch. I have always been up and running with both private and public bins on both Dish and Bev.. I only had trouble in the very beginning with the networking part but now all that has been ironed out.

common sense thinking would suggest that it does not matter if the cable is plugged up or not.....
but you may very well be onto something I will check next time.
for awhile no matter what ip I put in it when I read it back it would be different than what I told it.

maybe something inside is effecting the lan config if it senses a connection.

good thing to start trying.

V1.09 is up on dik, press the reset button on the left side of the
slinger with a pen, might have to press it 1 to 6 times to get the green lite.
I have a 501 working with no freezing. There may be some freezing on ch's i haven't been on.
I wore my fingers to the bone unplugging the power until i found the reset button.

i been trying all day but i only get to solid orange after programming......i cannot get to scan the IKS channels i press twice but no channels are showing.....does it make any difference if i input manually the proper naumbers 100 and 00133 and then write or do the channels have to be scanned.....thanks
