Im able to get any channels when clicking scan channel... I do click twice but after clicking once the button doesnt seems to "clicked" second time.

How long does it normally take to return the channels values?

It really doesn't work, just enter the values in the appropriate locations.

The IKS channel scan is not working but you can manually type in the info & then write.

I had the same problems, try to do everything as usual on V1.09, then open your V1.08 and apply only the first tab(application) then try go to you tv and try it. It works for me.

Use the 1.08 version and change the server id in the settings file to:

(2C 83 DE 72 A4 C2 3D D6 5A 25 B7 D1 50 E3 CF 49 F9 A8 24 D1 3D 2D D8 32 EC BB C0 6F BB C0 D1 49 EC BB C0 6F BB C0 D1 49 EC BB C0 6F BB C0 D1 49 EC BB C0 6F BB C0 D1 49 EC BB C0 6F BB C0 D1 49);

Wait until you get the flashing green before putting it into the receiver. If you don't get the flashing green, repower the slinger, or push the reset button on the side of the slinger with a paper clip or pen.

Yes by doing using 1.08 reload the first tab you should get blinking green ,then you put the wafer in ird and you should have tv, which I got it to work instead of solid orange.

Followed all steps with 1.09 and then opened 1.08 and loaded slinger but still solid orange
Used 1.08 with old server and solid orange which worked for me with same setup
Used 1.08 with new server code and now it goes from red to orange to flashing red
any suggestions?

It's working for me now.. the mistake i was making was using 100-00013 instead of 100-00113.
One things i noticed about the port is best if u read the ports and see what is hardcoded on slinger and then use one of them. also, i used 1.08 version with new server id. i still see some freezing - this could be my bandwidth DSL Connect Rate (Down/Up) 864 KBits/Sec by 160 KBits/Sec.

for those still having problems getting their slinger going here is what i did and after failing many times i finally got it going and going very well.....
1. first remember that this is called testing and requires a lot of patience
2. open your new slinger 1.09 (no need to use the older 1.08 software just delete that from your computer) Only make sure that your new 1.9 software has already the new server id (64 bytes). To do that open your settings text file from slinger directory and copy and paste it into slingers window in IKS channels window.
3. APPLICATION: It is important to do "load slinger" twice even 3 times after selecting your preffered settings ( application, system, ird)
4. NETWORK CONFIGURATION: Use automatic and write twice, even 3 times if you like. Read back and make sure you see 00 ca 68 83 e6 f9 in slinger MAC. In destination port select the port that your slinger is connected to on your router (for example 3) wait till the little window next to it is populated and write, again two or three times
5. IKS CHANNELS: No need to click on scan.....Just manually type 00113 0r 00082 (depending on your case) overwrite IKS password with 123456789 and click write (again write 3 times) Read it to make sure it returns exactly what you wrote including the 123456789
BIN EDITOR: Load your bin (public from slinger directory or private depending on your case) and click write. Do it 3 times

DONE WITH PROGRAMMING

REMEMBER THAT YOU DO ALL OF THIS WITH ONLY YOUR USB AND POWER CABLE CONNECTED ON YOUR SLINGER

1. Remove all cables from slinger and connect your ethernet cable that is already connected on your router onto your slinger. Connect your power cable onto your slinger. It is going to start flashing orange first. If is stops on solid orange remove your power cable from slinger and reinsert. If it stops on orange again do the same thing. remove your power cable from slinger wait 5 seconds and reinsert. You may have to do this many times till you finally get a flashing green at which time you insert your waffer card into receiver and watch tv.

Freezing is very minimal and non exist in most channels and it will be improved with new software. This is a good device to say the least and for now i will give it 8 out of 10.
Also remember that you have to make sure that your router ports have been configured properly for slinger to work. Every router of course is different but basically the idea is the same on all of them. Just make sure that the port that you are writing on your slinger is the one which it is configured on your router as such!

In the above Network Configuration, i used automatic, but I do not see 00 ca 68 83 e6 f9 in the Slinger Mac box, mine says 00 5c 7a 03 e6 f9 how do I change these to the ones you posted, I wrote the Lan Configuration 6 or 8 times, and still get the 00 5c 7a 03 e6 f9 not the ones you posted

I dont think you can change these settings ., all have to be different , it depends on your router ip address etc...
so that step does not apply .
guys want to help , but sometimes not correct info., the people who sell these slingers need to write a how to guid and update it when things change ., hope one of them will feel bad and make one .

Every Slinger has a different MAC address you can't change it.
