Got a red truck around the neighborhood late at night lately, local police dept hasn't been to much help, not sure if they have been busy, or don't care.. Wondering if somebody on here has access to run a plate number..DELETED .. Feel free to give me a private message..

Hey, I can trace it but frankly should give this to your local Police Dept., and let them handle it. You can ask for an 'abstract' and probably will cost you $5 for said owner of that plate. With any luck, might get the VIN # and if it's Financed....................NEXT.

Do a Search with a Company that will give you the details, may cost you $14.95 but still have to Prove It.

If you have the plate # and a description, call the Police and then your Congressman, sounds like an acne ridden testosterone laden kid that is beating the crap out of his Dad's truck.

I can't believe the Police Force isn't interested, I'd call the local newspaper and have one of their reporters check it out.

Apart from that, there are cheap cams around, got broadband.............perfect. I' m a pacifist.................but have to be since if I got my close friends (Mssrs. Smith @ Wesson) involved......the Lawyer's Fees would bankrupt me. :-(

PS one pull of a rat tail file through the barrel, no way forensics could do a match, Shhh. ;-)

Seriously. no need to go that far...........call the Mayor's Office.

Vehicle registrations are public record. Your DMV should sell you a copy for a minimal fee. It's $3 in my state. Just go in with the plate number and get a copy. They can't legally refuse you. You can tell them why you want it but it's not necessary. Don't hassle the mayor, he'll think your nuts. Just report the suspicious activity to the police, and if your still not satisfied, purchase a copy of the vehicle registration. That's about all you can do unless you witness a crime.

I read about a woman in a western state who loved to eat tofu, so she had her vanity plate made to:

ILVTOFU

Apparently, the local law enforcement didn't like the double meaning behind the plate and had it taken away. :(

LOL. She just thought she was smart but I will have to give her a little credit for effort.

Where I live, all requests for 'vanity plates' are screened and more often than not are turned down if a bit risque'.
