I have the flashing green on the slinger, but I keep getting the 'Smart Card not Inserted Correctly'. 301.13 IRD. Any ideas? Tried several times resetting the IRD and reinserting the wafer card, swapping RJ cable to wafer card. Thanks

Good into the menu (IRD) and check your stuff..............if you have the dreaded .........well, you'll spot that right away.........time to reflash.

My neighbor just got one of these toys and I spent all night and a few cases of Corona figuring it out with him...
Use the latest Slinger software.
Make sure your receiver is at the CURRENT software version.
Make sure your server settings are correct in the Slinger setup.
Make sure you have the channels tab populated in the Slinger setup.
Try resetting the SLINGER (there is a reset button)...it may take SEVERAL resets to get a steady green light.
Following these steps, we finally got it working. It freezes ocassionally, but I'm sure they will eventually work the bugs out. He is using a DVR510. The Slinger is hooked straight to the NetGear WNR3500 router with default settings (via approximately 30 feet of Cat5e cable).

I tried to use a longer phone line. Made my own so I know it was wired correctly. It wouldn't work. Mostly SNIC but also got the guide at times but with black screen & the guide was short a bunch of channels. Are you using the original black phone cord that came with the slinger?
Normal phone cables will not work.

Yeah Mili, I know. I did say that I crimped it myself. I wired it just like the original line and I used cat6. By the way. I'm watching sci fi right now and it's freezing as bad as ever. Every 2 or three minutes. It was working pretty good earlier this afternoon. I bought it from you so you know I have one.
No BS.

OK, have solid green with correct black cable. I used the bin that was saved in my RomCode backup file and am getting - Wrong Smart Card for this receiver. I believe I need to read my bin from the married Rom 102 card with RomExplorer and load that into the Slinger. Sound correct? I thank you so kindly.
