DN posted its quarterly report and after losing 94,000 subs, profits were up. Net income was $312.7 M as opposed to $258.6M a year earlier (on revenue of 2.91 Billion).
The customer loss was attributed to the distribution deal ending with AT&T and promotional pricing by its rivals and the economy in general.
The upsurge was based on avg. billing: $70.03 vs last years $67.93 monthly. So, they're not hurting in the pocket. Sounds like the card swap was on account of the FCC busting their balls.
This sounds good for the 'testers' out there. ;-)
