MoBo (266MHz front side BUS) with sound
RAM 256-512MB (266 MHz)

what type of MB?
Any, he is not picky. If you do machines for a living you know which one is a good one, I am not up to date with hardware (only educate myself before I buy one for myself)

Swap that mobo out with an asus nforce2, it ulocks that CPU from the norm 1.46 to a 1.86 without any OC'ing. Hell I can build that whole computer for $500 easy. Make sure that cpu is a B-class, the A-class do not unlock as easily. Check out Newegg.com, that cpu is only $51. And you can get that ram for $73. The integrated sound on the board is awsome as well. If you can wait another month, the vid cards are gonna drop big time. You can get that same WD hard drive on sale there right now, only get the 80 gig. I just ordered all the making for that computer for a friend, came in at $488.
Come to think of it, I have an extra 512 (2 X 256 or a 512 stick, i have both) of pc2100 just sitting here collecting dust, I can save ya some money there Mili, e-mail me.

I normally wouldn't post just to hock another site, but Budreaux mentioned the best vendor of computer related products that I have ever done business with. newegg.com has an amazing selection at better than average pricing. They have always treated me very well. If your shopping for anything computer related, you should at least compare with them. I saved over $800 on my last system by ordering from newegg.com instead of my local vendor. (This was a parts savings only, I built my system myself) Only one drawback, newegg does not offer tech support.

newegg.com used to be eggdirect.com they had to shutdown and rename business because of operating a shady business, i bought a new 800 mhz fsb intel mobo from them they sent it in a static bag, no seaed intel box, most of the features advertised were not on the motherboard and it was doa on top of everything......be careful buying....if it unbelievably cheap, there is usually a reason for it....

Sorry to hear that leet. They have always treated me first class, and I have done a fair amount of business with them. If anybody else has done business with these guys, please post your views. I would like to know...especially if I am in the minority as to having a positive experience with these guys. Thanks
