Slinger for Dummies

I am totally new to all of this, a friend recommended this to me. All of this technical stuff is beyond my knowledge. I need help learning and understanding what I need to purchase and do. I have a dish 322 and a 522 with a satellite dish with a previous balance, there is no removable card. What do I need to purchase to get my receivers and tv up and running again? Help me please!!!!

This site does not answer my questions. As I stated, I don't know anything about this type of technology and need a lot of help. From what I have read, I need to purchase a Slinger to reprogram my dish receivers and a new dish card for each reciever. I'm just not sure that this is correct. I want to make sure I order the correct items to get this working. I guess I need some one willing to "hold my hand" and text/e-mail me through the whole process. If anyone is willing to help I would greatly appreciate it.

Everything you are asking is here. You just need to read it. Begging for spoon-feeding is really bad etiquette.

You will need to get your receivers modified by Mili (look at the top of the page for BGA TSOP programming for most IRDs).

Then you will need a Slinger for each receiver. You will require an Internet connection to support each Slinger. You will NOT need any smartcards to use the Slinger.

After you have modified your receivers and purchased the Slingers, read the Slinger FAQ and Forum....everything you need to know will be there.

If you have a problem that is not answered there, then ask the membership for some help.
