After Jtagging a 3900 receiver with Tsop 3900 CLCA Public No RSA bin, I hooked up the sat feed, did a Check Switch OK, then it said Acquiring the sat signal but not showing any sign of progress with the steps. The system Info shows Receiver ID R 00
1864 2028-33 but the Card ID shows All Zeros S 00 0000 0000-00

Could the Card ID be the problem?

All help is appreciated.

Thanks,

did you erase the card and rewrite it again? have you tried cleaning the Atmega contacts with an eraser? sometimes that helps.

The System Info is as follows:

Model ID 3900 Upgraded
Receiver ID R00 1864 2028-33
Smart Card ID S00 0000 0000-00
Software Version P350CLCD-N
Bootstrap Version 12CBCLCD
Model ID 11L
Remote address 1
Location ID EA745008

I flashed a 3900 receiver with the No RSA Mod bin, Jkeys show the Rec Id and Box Keys OK Rec ID Roo 1864 2028-33 Box Keys 8C A6 A8 8C FD E2 E2 63

Next I connect the receiver back to the Sat input, do a Check Switch OK, put in a good updated Atmega 128 card in the receiver, but System Info continually shows the Smart Card ID with all zeros S00 0000 0000-00 and IRD attempting to acquire the Sat signal but there is no progress from 0

DO I HAVE TO PROGRAM THE SMART CARD ID TO THE RECEIVER ALSO?

PLEASE HELP

what program are you using to program the Atmega card with?If you are using PAL.. choose your tiers and stuff choose NO RSA .make sure crystal settings are set for you r card. clock speed set to 4.50 erase your Atmega with Jeepers then program with PAL and if you choose to have it verify writes...make sure it does not say fuse settings failed..Not sure why you are bothering with it tho almost all channels are N3 now

You don't have to open two threads about the same problem.

Thats why it's hard to do a SEARCH...multiple threads all about the same problem and it's usually solved in one, but you have to go through eight threads to find the answer (because the original questioner opened seven other threads- thinking his question would get answered faster if he asked 7 more times?).

Try a diff pfg or try pal if you didn't try it...

Good advice here. Threads merged and moved to receiver discussions.

I did a sector erase and put the receiver back on line, it updated the new stream and it is now working.

Thanks for all the help
