ok i got the slinger programmed and got the solid green light but when i try to watch a channel that's not free the slinger goes to solid orange .. i've edited the public bin file in DCM bin cloner with my private bin. could my problem be the software version on my private bin. the firmware updated on the receiver but the bin i have is the modified dt08 from years ago. i don't have the how to's for gent08 so i have no idea how to go in and change my firmware version on my bin.. could someone please help??

Not exactly sure of all the problems, but if you are trying to run a private DT08 bin, don't! I tried for a week to get my private DT08 bin and receivers to work, but no go. Private SK bins work great, just not DT08 bins. I tried my own bins, bin cloner to the slinger public bin, and even manually using a hex editor. Doesn`t work, just like the romcode private numbers don't work. My theory is that Slinger does not pick up the 0A datatype, only the 06 datatypes. Fix you problem by going to public numbers.

Depends on the receiver. Assuming you have an older DT08 receiver, you need to jtag the receiver to get the TSOP, use flashedit to change the IRD and BKs to the public numbers, rewrite that modded TSOP back to the receiver. Then load the slinger with the dish public bin that comes with the slinger software (older versions anyway). Should be good to go if the server lets you on.

hmm seems like your onto something were as everyone else doesnt seem to understand that the slinger doesnt work on private #s like its told it does if this is the case could this be added to a update to the slinger so that it then would xcept 0A data type??

Trayc: Your welcome, but you did all the work. Good job!!

Cmd89: Glad someone else recognizes the problem as well. When I have the time, I'm going to test the theory by FFing out the DT08 on the public slinger bin, load the bin, and see if it still works. I suspect the public DT08 is hard coded in the slinger proprietary software. I don't know of anyway around the problem since we can't see the slinger software. Don't want to get ahead of myself though until I test things a bit more. I'll let you know what I find.
