I have a 301-010 that I want to use as a Subbed Charlie Receiver.
Problem is it has public TSOP numbers. I do not have the original TSOP.
Can I use a TSOP that I have from a similar receiver and change the Receiver ID with Flash Edit to match the label on the back of the Receiver?
Can I make up some Box Keys?
Does Charlie have a database of specific box keys which match the Receiver ID?
When they send me a Purple Card, it must have the Receiver ID number on the card, but I'm not sure if it would have the box keys, orwould the card marry the receiver and add the box keys onto it once the card was inserted.
Thanks in advance for the help or any suggestions.

Far to risky to sub with an ex hacked IRD.

Subs never see the boskeys and yes, Dish has records or the ird number and the correct boxkeys. If you even mention boxkeys they will know it has been modified.

(1) You can do it, but you won't have the correct DT/Sk on that receiver (no picture)
(2) You can do it, but they won't match what the provider has (no picture)
(3) Yes he does. Not only boxkeys, but DT/SK keys also
(4) The card may not have the boxkeys/DT/SK on it (it will draw from your receiver), BUT when the data comes down the stream, the DT/SK from the provider won't match your card/receiver and you won't get a picture.
You would need the EXACT "original" TSOP from your receiver to sub it.
If you try to sub that receiver, you are asking for trouble. A tech will be dispatched when you call with questions/problems (especially a "new" sub). The tech will call DN for a test and they will quickly discover that your receiver was modified and rewritten.
If you want to sub, but don't want a contract, get a receiver from Fleabay...some of them are going for $10-15 (doesn't matter what card they have- Charlie will send you a new one).
