Hi Everyone This May Be Aa Stupid Question But Here Goes.....

If A Receiever Has An Internal Cam Wouldn't It Be A Regular Smart Card Chip Just Soldered To The Board.... If That Is The Case Lets say A 3100.013 Shipped With An Internal Rom102 What Happens With The N3 Change... They Can't Actually Change The Cam.... Only The Bin Inside It To Make It Compatible..... So What's Stopping Us From Doing The Same With A Regular 102. I May Be Way Off Base But I Figured I'd Pick Everyone's Brains On This Topic To Better Inform Myself On The Operation Of Internal Cams.

Thanks In Advance For Any Insight Bob152

The method used by the provider is to disable the internally mounted chip and activate the card slot. They do this via Firmware upgrades.
