connecting Dish 1000+

Hello, I recently purchased a dish 1000+ strickly because i need it for the international portuguese channels which are on 118. Can anyone tell me if i really need to use a switch or can i just connect it directly from the dish to the receiver.

if you want to use all the lnb's yes , you need dp34 or dp44, that is if you have, the 118/119 and 110, and 129 for the hd. if you need only the international then you can connect direct to get the 118/119. if you need them all you need the switch.
