Can someone answer a question? When Jtagging a reciever and you get a message saying LSI CONTROL UNAVAILABLE, What does that mean?? I was told that it was a ground issue but I grounded the board directly to the chassis but still get same message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I see no one has replied to my question. Either no one knows or just ignoring this or no one goes into the forums like they use to. Thanks anyway, I will find my answer somewhere...

It could be several things. Most likely it's a bad jtag or a bad ground for the jtag. You ground the jtag to the chassis, not the receiver MB. That's already grounded all over the place.
On another note, did you try typing "LSI control unavialable" into the search box? Lots of discussion on this topic in the past. That's why nobody bothered to reply. The search feature is your friend.

I have never encountered that error message.
And I beleive Giz's recommendation applies to the 501~508~510 series IRD's.
Have you done a search on the term here?
