hi top of the evening fellows and a big how do you do fellows i have a little problem when i am burning my music i know what i am doing but every time when i am about to burn i keep getting an error saying windows media player cannot burn some of the files. to investigate the problem click the icon next to the files in the burn list. and when i click it it is saying Windows Media Player cannot play, burn, rip, or sync the protected file because you do not have the appropriate rights. is there any way to over write this? or if its over write is it trouble for me. any help is appreciated. it is doing that to all my goodies i am trying to burn.

Burn with something other than windows media player. Media player is a weak burner anyway.

Windows checks if it is a licensed copy, Part of those awesome microsoft updates to fuck you, Use something else or roll back to a older media player version.

On Windows use Nero to create an Audio CD.

Better yet - Run Linux and avoid all DRM problems

I mostly mess with movies, but the burners are the same....and there are TONS of them out there to choose from. I like Roxio Ultimate 2009 for the jack of all trades burning. (The jack of all trades, master of none saying applies to Roxio IMO) For converting to DVD, I like Convert XtoDVD. The AVS video converter is slower, but it will go any format to any format...within reason. Another jack of all trades burner, but it's better than Roxio is DVD fab6. Media player classic is about the best for viewing all video formats and also works for music. I use media player classic is what I use instead of windows media player.

There are too many burners and converter programs out there to mention them all. These are the ones I use. There are a lot of shit programs out there, so basically stick to the ones that friends use and recommend.

Burnaware is real basic and free . I can't remember if it "normalizes" songs . This is an important feature as it equalizes the volume level of all the songs to be burned .
