If you are getting an error message "LSI Control Unavailable", or "Slow Programming Mode being used", it means you probably unhooked the JTAG, or unplugged the IRD, after you erased the U23 TSOP, but before you reprogrammed it. The quick fix for this is to first ensure that U23 is completely erased. Then try to write just the first 60000 bytes of U23. If that is successful, unplug the IRD from the wall, and plug it in again. The green LED should go on, then off. That means that the boot loader (the first 60000 bytes) has been written successfully, and you should now be able to program the rest of the TSOP(s) without fail. (Note: If Wall crashes when you start it, simply start Jkeys, then close Jkeys, & then start Wall)

Go into files and get the "Ressurecting a 3100" file

Mfg/Device codes returned are FFFF/10000(JEDEC) and FFFF/10000(FlashFile)....ok
It will not let me erase flash or program ....At the lower right corner it reads no control.. this IRD was up and running for months using Atmega 128... wall v2.0 or v2.2 will not erase completely keep geting error erase failed ...tried "reserecting a 3100 no luck....No one so far can help

nope no help...I just put it on the shelf...maybe some day one of these testers will figure it out...I'm told that they get locked sectors on the 301's

A 301-010 is the easiest 301 to revive, get the guide, use Wall2 and you will get it back if you follow the instriuctions carefully.

worked on it till 4am. i was going to chuck it and then i thought i would try a 3volt transformer power supply instead of batteries and wola, it workes flawlessley. what i cant figure out is the batterys on my meter say 3.15 volts but maybe once current is drawn, there is a voltage drop becaause the batteries have lost some juice. i was using 2 d cells and i have only jtagged 3 devices and i always disconnect. the reason i changed the powersupply was i was reading any scrap i could from the forum and somebody else did the same thing. reading does pay off and you learn. i hope somebody that has intermittent jtag communication, or gets not detected error, or has to press detect button 20 times to get communication or receives any other warning trys the power supply trick. i had every error you could imaging and every error i had, somebody else had-all because of power.

my problem was i could rewrite my backup tsops using WALL but my problem was my tsop backups were corrupt so when i wrote them back with wall, and then tried to use jkeys i kept getting that error. what i did was go to the downloads section and get somebody elses tsop and made a virgin tsop using my box keys and ird number and everthing was fine. i pisses away so many hours because of a corrupt tsop, eventhough my tsop backup said ok with jkeys.
