Hello,

I am new to testing for bev so i have been doing alot of reading,
i recently purchased a jtag and i backed up my tsop (which i think is flash 1 & 2) in my 3100, but my question is when i get hit and want to rewrite my tsop's back on to the 3100, do u use flashedit? and if you do
which file that i backed up goes into u22 and which goes into u23? I have been doing alot of reading but cant find these answers. Also I keep reading after u get hit you have to erase SA3, what is that and how do i go about doing that? I appologize in advance if any of you are reading this and thinking they are stupid questions, but i beleive you need to ask questions in order to learn. Thanks to all who take the time to help.

FlashEdit is used to edit IRD#, boxkeys, etc to reflect your IRD info. Once you've entered all your info, save the .bin file to your pc. Then use Jkeys to flash that saved .bin file (TSOP) to your IRD.

To recover from an ECM, connect your Jtag to IRD. Open Jkeys, hit 'flash programming'. In 'Chip/Sector Programming', use drop-down from FULL to SA3 (for 3100). Then hit 'Erase' 4-5 times. That's it! Re-connect back to sat feed w/no card in slot. It will upgrade within 15 mins. You're good to go.
