enter ird into stream...should be simple ...unless...you have erased your tsop!

Errrr.....2700 is definately SA5. Also, I have never needed to ground pad1 on 2700's.
FLASH ADDRESSES TO ERASE
2700 = location SA5 (512 k tsop)
2800 = location SA5 (512 k tsop)
3700 = location SA5 (512 k tsop)
3800 = location SA30 (2 meg tsop)
3900 = location SA30 (2 meg tsop)
4700 = location SA30 (2 meg tsop)
4900 = location SA30 (2 meg tsop)
301.010 = location SA 3 **(flash 1)
301.013 = location SA15 **(flash 2)
501/5100 = location SA54 **(flash 2)
5800 = Location SA54 **(flash2)
6000 = location SA30 **(flash 1)

You should also be eraseing SA3 not SA5 (I am pretty sure this is correct, I had software version 255 on a 2700c and now it's 355).
Pauls SA3 is for 3100 ird's!

Greek, does your j-tag have pogo pins and magnets?
Are you holding it compressed to the ird?
On a 2700 the grd pad is the long strip, and 3 pins grd.
YES CROW MY JTAG HAS POGO PINS... AND I AM PRESSING DOWN VERY FIRMLY, THATS NOT THE PROBLEM...
THE PROBLEM IS THAT WHERE IS PAD 1 SO I CAN GROUND IT ....
pad 1 is the one furthest left with the ird facing towards you. if it works make sure you remove it when you are done.
