For those who do not like to read an entire post. My UHF remote works ok if I am in the same room meaning the LED portion works aok. It also means the receiver/unit ID "1" is aok.

I have never knowlingly mucked with the TSOP or EEPROM with this unit.

I have multiple UHF remotes and they all work with a 4700.

I have removed/swapped the UHF module from a working unit and it still doesn't work.

Either:

(a) something on the mainboard has failed (yet it detects infrared ok)
(b) radio interference from something close
(c) software setting has disabled UHF remote (eeprom corruption perhaps?)

Anyone know if the UHF portion can be disabled via the eeprom?

I am handy with a soldering pencil and could whip up a jtag quickly if needed.
