View Full Version : What do I Have?

I have had my "system" running for quite awhile now, it's a 2700 series. My "guy" set it up for me and now it appears I have been hit with whatever came down the line. I get the "your receiver has a serious problem....blah, blah, blah" every 40 mins or so. I am hoping that I can get more into this and do the needed fixes myself so I am trying to read/learn all I can. I was hoping maybe someone could tell me what I have just by the description. There is a card (circuit board) in my receiver with a chip soldered onto it and a wire runs from that to my computer. The computer only has a floppy disk in it, this (I guess) is what makes it work (decodes), and yes there are the "locks" on the back of the receiver (he taped them so the wouldn't accidently turned off). Do I simply need a new program on my floppy disk? or does something inside need to be changed? Any help or responses would be greatly appreciated.

Great..... but what does that mean exactly or can you send me in some sort of direction to find the info I need for "camid" and "bin". Man, and I thought learning another language was difficult. Thank you for the reply.
