Need help with an RCA DRD 420RE

Hi guys,
need help with an rca drd420re receiver.
i dont have the system password so i can't unlock the receiver,
what i have to do to reset this password??

The Password is on the card..not really in the IRD. Start Exteme HU goto Card>Utilities> Clear Password. The password will be 0000.

I can't tell ou how many times I have seen this post in varitation, only to see a repost that it didn't work. Let me just add one bit pf info to the instructions. Once you have read teh card, then your Eeprom is in memory. So, use the Eeprom drop down menu to "clear password". Now, you have to WRITE the Eeprom back to your card. I believe many are forgetting that they need to do that and they think they are clearing teh password on the card, when they are really just clearing it on the one in memory. Just a thought.
