emulation question

I am running chinaman with a p2 300mhz computer. My ird is a 1000.
I get it running with no problem but, 90% of the time when I change channels I get the nag that says"not authorized, please wait or channel up or down". It comes on for about 10-20 sec and then the channel appears.It's annoying. Has anybody seen this.Any help would greatly be appreciated.

are you running it in pure dos or in a dos window
what are you using fore a interface
i have windows on my pc but it boots up straight from the floppy so I think that is pure dos. Interface---does that mean the avr? If so, I have it flashed with that ird2pc
