no i think its software related. assuming you didn't see or smell anything cooking on the board i would suggest a reflash. most people don't use the base addresses to flash their IRD but I always do. its 20010030/WW, 20010000/WW. after the light comes on erase and reflash, unplug IRD once the flash is complete and solder FP to ground and try it again. maybe you downloaded a corrupt flash. make sure you are using the correct flash for your IRD.
