Bad Signal???

My DRD430RG is only revieving a signal on about 1/4 of the transponders. I just upgraded to this box thinking it was the dinosaur i had in it's place had went bad. Would that be a problem with the LNB or possible a short in the coax?

I do get a few channels but most just say searching for satelite signal. And it is not constant. Some days everything works fine.

Normally have about 85-90 signal strength when all is normal.

Any input would be appreciated.

I had almost the same problem of not working of some days. It turns out to be the line. Make sure you have RG6. Some says water, or other defects might be the cause for these situations. If you can, try a direct RG cable between LNB and IRD.

Well, i have used this cable for some time with no problem. But i have recently put a new end on one half of the cable. I'll try replacing the end again.
