I have a DRD420RE and it's been behaving oddly (and yes it has a NoZKT mod if that makes a difference?):

First the RCA jacks died, and it no longer pumped out video (audio is/was fine, just video was black screened). Then about 4-5 days later the S-Video jack died as well, now I am left with a reg coax output.

On top of that, it's started blinking the green power light on/off when I turn it off. Not sure what that means either.

Any tips? I am a novice-intermediate electronics guy, so please if possible can you keep things in lay terms? Basically I guess the question is, am I screwed? Is there anything i can replace/test on the board?

The flashing is likely because you have a mail message. Check your menu mailbox and delete the note.

if you are losing integrity in your connections like that maybe your flash is corrupt. after you clear that mail message swalt spoke about and it is still occuring, think about reflashing your IRD.

No kidding, a corrupt flash could affect the jacks? I tested it after flashing for a good week, sent it off to my buddy to use, he used it for 2-3 weeks without a problem and out of the blue it starts doing this.. shouldn't it have been doing it since day 1 of the flash? or can a magnetic field corrupt the flash?

EMI can be a factor but i doubt that was the cause. i flashed a 440 once and video came in just fine but no sound. your scenario is the other way around but i think the same. consider that reflash
