Just follow the steps in unwink.com. You have apparently past the JTAG steps, so you should be on the "Boot from Link Mode" step.
By now, you should have read these instructions at least once, modified the 420 with the 5 JTAG wires coming to your JTAG, a short wire from the BFR point, and whatever you are using (switch or header and jumper) to write protect the 420.

If you have done this, you are about 25% done with this mod.

Both dssmili and unwink have pretty clear info for the 420 mod, if you got the jtag done, then the rest just means following the rest of the info at either site and getting it done. Really not that tough once you get the jtag part done.....
If you are worried about blowing the IRD up, both unwink and dssmili tell you that unless you can afford to lose the receiver you should not attemt to modify it, I have only seen a couple 420's that a modding attempt destroyed, so I know it can be done.
Just be careful and don't do anything unless you are sure it is what you are supposed to be doing and you'll be ok.........

I have done 10 mods and almost wrecked 1 receiver which was my own stupidity. When installing the header pins for the jtag I got a short somewhere underneath the header pins. I decided to remove the header pins to check things out, but in doing so I ripped 3 pads from the board. I had to get someone with more soldering skill than me to graft hair wires onto the proper traces and make a pigtail to connect to my jtag. I was lucky not to have permantly wrecked the receiver. Long story short was that I learned it's better to take your time. Usually after removing the solder from the pads I gently clean them and use a digital ohmmeter to test the resistance/ continuity of each pad. Then after soldering in the new header pins I re-check the resistance / continuity to make sure I don't have any short / open circuit conditions. Since then I have had no more problems. You have to be willing to lose your receiver but if you take your time and be meticulous you will greatly reduce the risk of a wreck.

I have tried the Mrwhitesjtag instructions and came through unscaved, I have also done about a dozen receivers and encountered about 2 problems. 1 receiver lost power (the light just blinked and then turned off) After rewriting the orginal flash it worked. Another receiver just didn't power up but worked after its backup bin was rewriten.

thnx guys started up with no problems but wondering should i and cut a trace to sever the processors control over the flash programming pin.i do not fully under stand why it would have to be done but if i should do it i would not see a problem
ps i built a jtag in installed it myself all from the info i got from this great site

which Jtag did you build, the simple one or the buffered one?
Just curious how many people have had success with the simple jtag? Because i can see where a voltage spike would occur unless maybe you put silicone, hot glue or wax over the resistors,db 25 connector and wires where they solder to the resistors. Just wanted to know. :)

The Buffered Jtag is the best & safer one to be using ! Ghost as to your Question the silicone is a good idea to use cant hurt

Well, you may be using a blacklisted bin. If you unplugged the box, and had no adverse events during the flash programming, that is the only way to get a 745. It sure isn't the IRD rejecting your ZKT.

Now use a P4 CAMID 05 xx xx xx. That works.

Either it didn't get flashed with a nozkt flash or the camID being used is blacklisted.......there are still those that think you can use any camID with a nozkt mod, which is still not true......at least for now anyway

load a bin in extreme Hu and click on card number, edit 24D8 to any number between 11 and FF and make a fake number .......really easy and works, and if for some reason it don't, then just try another number, for some reason I have had people tell me they had to try a couple numbers before one worked. I don't know why.....
