it can be 303 mod for rca420re?

Hi guys

i was trying to mod rca 420 using a jtag[bought from mrwhitejtag]
somewhere i did wrong, it doesn't communicate the jkeys
i tryed for 2 weeks,i give it up
the receiver still a working with out the mod
i read some forum and found 303 mod
my rca420 has dual chip
is this receiver can be done with 303 mod?
what i understand that 303 mod is change the rom chip
can i change the rom chip to programed 303 mod chip?

The 303 mod is for older receivers, receivers without a flash chip.
The 420 just needs a jtag installed, but it must be carefully done, the tiny traces to the jtag port are easily removed or damaged, the last bad 420 I saw had EVERY trace damaged, and I suspect the processor jtag ports were also shorted and damaged as I repaired the traces and still could not get communication with the IRD.
I am very good at repairing broken traces, I have a large magnifying lamp and can see traces and components the the naked eye has trouble with, so I know I did a complete job and a multi-meter confirmed it, but still could not get it to work.
