hi guy just got this 430 from a buddy who wants it modded .but it has a problem of shuting itself off .turn it back on and then shuts off after that it seems to be fine has any one had this problem befor and has anyone solved it.........

yeah 001438 if i unplug it and plug it in it shuts off and if i turn it on it shuts off again is this normal you say..........

well this 430 is still acting up after leaveing it on for about 20 minutes the thing shuts down turn it back on and it reboot did not unplug it this went on most of the night can someone please point me in the right direction on repairing this. skinerd you must of run across this problem befor for you have played with many 430,s befor thanks to everyone who replyed and marry christmas to everyone out there.....

I have a 430 that does the exact same thing, too bad too, cause it thas absolutely the sharpest picture of any 430 I have ever seen.....I just have too much else to do to mess with it...

hi guys after doing some more testing on this 430 .i noticed that the unit will not shut down and reboot with out the card beening in the unit once the card is in the unit it begins to act up it will shut down turn on and reboot once i pull the card out the problem stops has anyone seen this befor and can we correct it....

mine will run all night without the sat in cable hooked up, but once connected it runs then restarts regularly......

this one use to do that but after a closer look in the cable in box (tin) i found one othe little diod was burnt blue in colour i just removed it and that seemed to solve the off and on with the cable connected now the problem is when i put the card in........

skinerd i also noticed that one the unit is hooked up to the sat cable the voltage does not move it stay on 13.25 volt is this a sure sgin of the lnb chip is on its way out.........

no, that means it's not searching any more, the 13 to 18 volts is only when the cable is out and it constantly searches for a signal.....once it finds one, it could be at 13 or at 18 depending on which set of transponders it locked on to....
