I have a DRD420RE and it works great but I only had a round sat dish on the house. The other day I switched to a newer oval dish with 3 LNB and built in multiswitch. Thru the on screen menus I set the box for the new oval 3 LNB dish. When I go to the signal meter screen the 101W Satellite signal is great but I couldnt get a signal on the other 2 sats (option is middle on signal screen) 110W & 119W
Here is where the problem comes in :
because the 420RE is not looking for the 110W & 119W. Some how ( I assume its set in the eprom) the box is looking for "Nets. 232/34". I have never heard of "Nets. 232/34" satellite and couldnt find any info with a Google search.

So my questions are: how do I change the box to look for the 110/119 sats? Is it in the eprom and can I fix it by just setting a few bytes or do I need a complete eprom image? If it matters the box has a 24C64
eprom in it and I have a jtag installed.

btw: I know the dish works fine because I connected a diff sat box to it and it found all 3 (101,109,119) sats and I received picture from them.

If another box works fine, then the alignment must be good, I'd try rebooting the 420, after setting it for the correct dish type, and see if that clears it up.

It happensd that Blaknite has posted a 24C64 image (in hex) on his files place. Go look at it and rewrite your eprom. I think all you need is the 1st few (option) bytes. Don't worry about checksums here....

Reprogramming the eprom fixed the problem.

Thanks for the help
