Error 19
The slinger is blinking green, and I'm still getting error 19.
I'm using a b*v 3100 so I erased secter 3 on flash1 to make sure I had the current software on my IRD. I double checked my boxkey, cam #'s etc. to make sure they matched the public ones. I rechecked my slinger setup to make sure everything was setup properly and it was. I'm runnung a 50' telephone cable from the slinger to the waffer board could that be a problem. Thanks for any help STP |

If you need to have the Slinger 50' from the router get a pair of Proline adaptors. That way you can have the slinger plugged in anywhere in the house. A very simple, workable solution.

It is an ethernet adaptor. You simply plug it into any wall outlet and plug in an etherent cord from the router to the adaptor and then anywhere you want you can plug the other adaptor into any wall outlet, plug an ehternet cord into it and then the Slinger and youhave eliminated running and cables all over the house to hook up the Slinger into another room.
In my case, instead of running my PC wirelessly, I use the Proline adaptors. they are faster than wireless, cost about the same and way more secure than wireless. Failing my description you can also use Google to learn more.

Is this what I'm looking for? or is it something else. Yea and this xxx.google.com/tisp doesn't look very appealing. Poor guy that has to do that ! Thanks STP |

OK, I didn't want to wait for my powerline ethernet adaptor which is about a week away so I moved everything downstairs close to my computer and i''m now using everything that Mili supplied. But i'm still get Error 19.
It looks like it's not getting the cam number. Did I not program the slinger correctly. Any help would be great. Thanks STP |

Yes, I have re-read that section where it deals with Error 19.
Even as i'm writing this the server must be very busy because it won't blink green. It's staying orange. But ealier today when i posted it was blinking green. I will keep trying until it starts to bling green again and try it into the ird when it asks to insert the card. I noticed that there was no cam # listed in the diagnostic section of the ird. Is that information not programmed into the slinger? Should that come up regardless if the slinger contacts the server or not? Thanks for the info and the help STP |

If you read the instructions you'd see if you see S00000000 it means the slinger did not connect to the server before you inserted the interface card.

So your saying that my router is not configured properly?
But I thought that all the cam and ird info was kept on the slinger. STP |

Reset your slinger, wait for blinking green LED and then slide the card into the IRD.

On the proline adapters.... I was looking at them and saw this...
Note: Outlets must be electrically connected in order for Powerline devices to provide a network connection between them. Does that mean they have to be in a circuit on the same breaker. In other words, if the bedroom is on a different circuit (breaker) than say the great room, will they not be able to connect to each other? Thanks! |

Hi Lefty, the light has been blinking green for the past 2 two weeks and I still get nothing when I put it into the IRD.
BigBoyDale, I haven't received the powerline adapter yet, but I will let you know. I brought everything downstairs close to my computer until it arrives. STP Last edited by STP; 2 Weeks Ago at 05:30 PM.. |

STP if it's any consolation i have the same problem with my ViP 622 using the kit supplied, even get a blinking green light, but 019 everytime i insert the card S000000. I'm using a Linksys 400n that has a built in DSL Modem which may be the issue.
I now have a DL 615 router and i'm waiting for a Westell modem from ebay to get here to try again. |

hey guys, getting error 019 and S00000 has nothing to do with your internet or router or modem...it can only be improperly programmed slinger, bad phone cord or bad wafer...for me out of the 5 i have set up, 2 were giving me the S000000....turns out they both had bad phone cords...make sure cords are good...many posts on how to tell if they are right...i ended up making my own cords...good luck

I checked my cord, did continuity tests on all the colored wires, checked the order of the wires to make sure they were in the same order. everything is good with the cord that was supplied.
Made a new cord, checked everything again, everything is good with the new cord, reprogramed the slinger. And I still get Error 19 with the light blinking green. Anyone have any other suggestions Thanks, STP |

The Linksys router/modem you have works great. No need to get anything else.

You think it's a BIN issue, i've loaded it and read it back and CAM No. stays the same. The Phone cable seems OK And i think i've programmed the Router correctly .... I'm sure STP thinks the same. At least if i could get it going with the instructions Mili gave for the DL615 then i could try again with the Linksys, but i don't know if it a server connection issue or a BIN issue. |

Does the cam information match the flash on the IRD? I would look there first.

Wouldn't that give you 'the cam is not valid for the IRD",
I don't believe that the cam info is on the IRD. But I will double check the TSOP inROM explorer. STP |

Hey,STP,been reading your latest posts cause I was having the same issue.Turns out that for me,because I was programming different IRD's,I was unconsciously selecting the last IRD that I had programmed, thus was programming for wrong IRD.Maybe not the case for you, just throwing it out there for you to consider.

OK, I want to start back at square one. Right from programming the TSOPS on my B@V 3100.
After I up date to the newest firmware which is at E654. Now I know that I have to change the Box keys and IRD # to match the public ones. Is there anything else that need to be done? DT08, SK or NoRSA? Thanks STP |
