Look at the posts. Down, up, freezing. My kbox gets bev and dave at once. No freezing and has NFL, Porn, NHL and the fight saturday is confimed. All for a $180. Slinger just does not compare.

hey you know what? you should just go to the sites that offer these services you talk of and toot your horn there? we are a testing site here and things are getting perfected daily with the slinger...

my slinger has been working like a swiss clock other than the times there is server maintanance going on...

Yes I'm a little disappointed. After reading the banner, I went on that. First the information was misleading. Then the techanical issues. The fact that 10% say the slinger works like a swiss watch, and the other 90% can't watch without one thing or another. If people would just be upfront, that would be a start. As far as other IKS solutions, have you all tested one. I'm sure you don't want to talk about it on this site. What I like about the slinger is the feel and look as a sub, the features. Yes it's testing. You folks need a little constructive criticism. Don't take it to heart. If you would like a vip 211 and the slinger and the DI-604 router, I will sure give it up cheap.

The last fellow i helped on the phone took 25 minutes to get him to hook up three wires to his Slinger so he was attached to the router, had power, and the wafer was connected!

2 hours to program the Slinger only & Not even the router!

Should give you an idea of what some can do!

When I got mine, I had it 30 days studying up on my router. It wasn't listed in the compatible router list. But I persisted because I insist on keeping an 8 port router in service due to my extensive home network. A great friend (fubr) took me under wing and talked me thru it. It's freeze free on the 510. On my dual tuner VIP622 it's a bit tricky. I set it for single tuner mode and keep the unwatched tuner on 120 or 216. That helped a lot. The VIP and VIP dual tuner issue is well known.

With IKSEngineer touting a VIP dual tuner fix, I'll keep using it.

As for the forums, we insist on civility. We all help out here. We have a great pool of guys that frequent many other sites and they share thier knowledge. It's greatly appreciated by all. Bandit's research helps immensely.
