How to get D*sh HDTV Channels with RQCS?

Greetings:

I know that it is relatively easy to share a 241 card if you have the box keys of the receiver. But I’m not interested in SD channels, I’m interested in HD channels. What is the easiest ways to obtain the box keys (or SKs on HD receivers). I know that HD receivers are not jtagable, and that you have to send them to a skilled technician to obtain the TSOP image. I also know that millie offer receiver services, but only to mod the receiver to use a Slinger. Don’t get me wrong, Slinger, in my opinion is the best IKS solution. But I would like to have RQCS (or any other Card Sharing solution) as a backup. In summary I would like to use a subscription (as backup) but not only to share it, but also to access the VOD (SD and specially HD) channels. Do you know who provide these services (box keys) of a HD receiver to share its 241 with other HD receivers? Thanks!

Your question makes no sense.

You need more than the BK to get any programing. You only need a BK to match a card image, if you are using a sharing program it shouldn't care about that as its using a modified 102 image but feeding the correct keys to it that the card itself can't decrypt. Same as Slinger are using. This image has to be married to the reciever, and yes the TSOP usually has to be modified to accommodate that.

I think you can forget about the boxkeys and go with the public numbers and your ISO with the N3 card will work fine to EMU to your machine, using the public numbers. I am not 100% on how RQCS or NKShare work in regard to the source card, maybe all IRDs have to be cloned.

Someone correct me if I am mistaken, I thought thats how all this IKS stuff worked...

You just need a matching image to run NK share or RQCS. Any of the services that do BGA programming should work. Just make sure to ask if they use private numbers for there service and only clone once. It would be easy for Dish & Bev to blacklist all of these public IRD's out there. Also remember that the HD VOD's with private clients are very private only. Meaning that if you don't know someone that has these working then you won't get these. If you are running a dual tuner you need to use NK share or the new private client which is a combination of both RQCS and NK share. If you don't do this you will see some freezing. Some meaning mirco but alot less then the Slinger running with dual tuners. NK and new private client run flawless with all my dual tuners.

Thank you guys for your anwers. I would clarify my question. I would like to know if with a HD receiver, its TSOP (BGA) image and its subscribed 241 is sufficient (plus RQCS or Nk share server software) to use that card as source (server) and share it with other HD receivers (and be able to see HD channels on the clients). Thanks!

Special modded AVR boards to run dual tuners. Standard AVR boards will only work 100% freeze free with single tuners.

I set up the iks using max mels. I don't use it but I did set it up to see if I could do it.

You don't have to have an image file for all receivers. The 2800,2900,508 dvr do not require an image read only box keys to share. All you need is the box keys to share on those types of receivers. You can share the card with any type of receiver if you have the matched image and tsop for example on a DVR 510 with public info you could take the 508 box keys only and have that card in the reader and share it with the 508 you have only box keys for and using the public actual image file and matched tsop you could share with the public 510.

I set mine up using a 508 since their is no charge for a dvr monthly from charlie and I didn't need a actual read of the N3 card just the box keys to watch the 508 I pay for and the card takes tier updates in reader since they match without having to put the card into the actual receiver like 1 a week for 4 hours. I can then share it with any type of receiver as long as the tsop on the machine and I have a total read of the image file to match the tsop.

If you are going to run a HD you have to have a hd sub. Which means you will need a matching image file and tsop. Reason is you can't share using a regular rec because the hd channels are not sub'd on regular rec to my knowledge. If you share your hd with another hd rec then they will also need a image matched to their tsop. You can share your hd sub of non hd channels with all recs since they exsist on both.

To get a matching image file for hd I would guess you would have to have the original N2 image file from before which also has the box keys. That is the only way I see it working. If you have the tsop programmed you would need a matching n2 image so if you have a matching n2 image for a hd machine you could have that put on tsop. Someone that knows more about hd recs chime in.

Also you have to configure the modem to allow the packets to come and go.

PS one thought. Someone that has a HD sub might be able to answer. If you have HD one one rec and a 2800,2900,508 do you get the hd channels on them?? but just not in HD if you do that would be the easiest way to share HD. I know that when I call in something for one of my rec's they all get it but I don't have a HD sub this year I will be getting one next year since I have already payed for a full year that saved me one months bill.

Hope that helps,
Joe
