Mili informed me not to use any site's that have PayPal. He mentioned that PayPal is directly linked to DAVE and work with them. So here is my problem...I recently ordered a Mikobu III off of IncredibleDSS.com . They sent me a letter claiming they need a copy of the front and back (Signature) of the card. If they do not recieve this then they will cancel my order. I was already freaked out by using a card, cause duh...instant link. Bad thing is, it's my mother's card. Should I be a little leary that they told me to use PayPal to make payment arrangments or go ahead and fax the card front and back to them? I am debating on just saving the money for an international money order. The one thing I need to know is...where can I find a Mikobu since they were raided and what sites can I trust. I won't be going back to incredibleDSS any time soon, I asure you that.

Here's the little bit of stuff they told me:


If you can email or fax us the following scans then we can process your
order otherwise we will proceed to refund this order.

- both the sides of the credit card, with card owner's signature
- card owner's personal identification document

The required documents can be faxed to: 1-416-352-5396

If we do not receive this information then the refund will show within 14
days credit card holder's statement.

If you want to pay via PayPal instead then send the total to
prez@hushmail.com and forward the receipt here after.

Darkkeep, I see several trip wires in your path, bud...first, you have a site that you've never done business with (and they may be fine, but do you know? Are they based in the US or Canada?)
You're being asked to fax a copy of the front and back of your mother's credit card, along with a copy of her driver's license...I wouldn't go there at all...
If you buy your Mikobu with PayPal, you might as well stop at the bank, purchase a cashier's check for $3500, send it to Rupert Murdoch and get it over with. NEVER, EVER purchase testing equipment VIA PayPal !
Why don't you use Mom's credit card, get a cash advance from an ATM machine, purchase a blank money order and mail it to that outfit? AFTER you check them out a bit?
Another option is one of Mili's new loaders...at least you'll be safe, and you know you're not going to be ripped off.

If anyone else asked for a photo of the back of your credit card with your signature, would you give it? .....I have a bridge in Brooklyn I need to sell, interested? If incredibledss needs all that info, then they are most definetly an agent of Dave. Tell them to cancel the order ASAP! Or better yet, change all your contact info that they are aware of and never communicate with them again. You don't want to be doing business with these guys.

I know...I have purchased from Mili b4. But, who wouldn't want a Mikobu 3? I mean, the company was raided a while back and there are very few Mik's out for sell. But I do have to agree with you Chief...I was debating on the milikobu 4. I just need a fast and reliable prog/unlooper. If the mili 4 is just as good as the Mik 3 then I will purchase one. Kind of glad I stumbled onto this site 6 months ago.

i believe that chief or 4x4 did a review of the milikobu 4 loader a while back in the mikobu III and milikobu IV forum section you should check it out.

Buy one of Mili's Milikobu lIV loaders. He's got them on sale for $79 bucks right now. I bought one recently and it worked like a champ. I even bought a generic serial to USB cable and used the Mikobu USB drivers and it worked fine. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a case. I ended up making one from a 6-1 flash card reader. At least it kind of hides it's true purpose.

All in the works...just hate that I have to wait for the INT. money order to arrive b4 the goods go out the door. But at least I get a little piece of mind. Unlike incredibleDSS.com
