Cicuit20 when you are ECMED Bev changes the ID Location of the TSOP chip to 00000001 . It is easily repaired with a jtag.Do a search for ecm recovery . There is a lots of info on that subject.
An AVR board has been used as an interface between the computer and the IRD . (replacing the smart card) .AVR's are becomming obsolete . Max and mel interface is much better.
