I RUN DTV ,BUT A FRIEND GAVE ME TWO DUAL DISHES TO PUT UP & THEY ARE DISH 500 TYPE (DISHNET) IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN . WILL THAT WORK ON MY SAT SYSTEM??

THE DTV ONES ARE EGG SHAPE LEFT TO RIGHT & THIS ONE IS ALITTLE EGG SHAPED UP & DOWN, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS MATTERS . WOULD ANYONE KNOW THIS INFO. ??

Antennaes (dishes included) are pretty stupid devices and are easily duped into believing they're something else.... Take your radio antenna for example.... You're telling it that it's a different lenth everytime you push a different channel button....
So, the answer is yes....
