Anybody repair FTA STB's?
Hello.
I misflashed my Fortec Lifetime (Silverbird) and now I've got to have it Jtagged. Does anybody know of someone (preferrably in Canada) that does repair work on these units, and would be able to Jtag my unit to Original Factory flash? |

Building a Jtag..
Building a Jtag is not only very easy, but very gratifying when you get it done, and it works.
Perform a search for the words JTAG and FORTEC and you'll find everything you need, just like Mapleleaf said. If your just not comfortable doing it, there are many people who can help you, including ME! :SrZ: |

You can just buy the jtag cable, for about 35-40 Canadian$ and download the software and instructions from the web, and do it yourself and you will still have the cable left just in in case youy need it again, process is very straight forward, with some initiative u can fix it at lower cost and faster than to send it out for repair. good luck.
