need help getting jtag on a 4000

You post on the wrong room and to a room which very few people visited :-).

Anyway, what error do you get x00000 or xffffff? The most common cause of jtag problem is cable length, wrong connection, or bad jtag. So make sure your jtag and connections are good.

I'm a little new to this, but it is my understanding that the only way to get the boxkeys is to read the card.. I don't think that you can hook a jtag to a 4000. I would like to know if you find out different , because I have a 4000 I would like to use.

No you cant jtag a 4000. You need a F040 to read the keys off those. They are very expensive and hard to find. If you dont have the original card that came in the ird to read the box keys off of, you need to find a better ird like a 2700 or 4700.

What if the card that was in it was 101, can you read that and get the keys?
