Question - Max/Mel Flash Updates

Looking at mc24.net I see atmel flashes with rev #'s, 381 being the latest. Does this mean every time there is the Dish rev # change that the atmel would need to be reflashed? Seems like a a hassle to pull chip & reflash every time.

With Dave emu, only the emu soft would need an update...what's the deal?

Comments please.

Thanks

So an older rev flash won't cause it to stop working? Just following logic, but if it works...

older revision doesn't seem to affect because Dish will update to a newer one. If you look at the message on the emu program, you'll see that Dish tries to update your simulated card to the later revision.
