Hey, just want to say hi to all and hope this site leads to a lot of good testing , good learning and some great dss buddies.
I am curious though, the private bin that mili is offering, is buying one worth it? May sound like a stupid question but have any of yous bought one and how has has the performance been thus far ? I like the statement of 6 months guarantee and the price is right also. Any details or support would be appreciated, tks GTG.

Reply to Good to Go

Hello, GTG, glad to see you here. I've seen you MANY times over at the other site, and I'm glad you've stopped by here. This is a smaller bunch, full of knowledge, some BS, and they give good bin. I've been with 'em about 7 months now and their quick service is well appreciated. I'm sure you know 4x4- I steered him over here, he's registered and is trying to post right now, but for some reason it won't let him on. We're awaiting an answeras to why- this place needs his expertise and all his jabber.
Mili, if you'd invite us to your place for steaks, drinks and fun in the sun, I could probably get you a bunch more customers. Might be worth it.... Seriously, this is a good, if sometimes quiet, place. The 3m's and bins stay around awhile so there's not as much "I'm down in NYC" and "My screen is black" and "I'm getting 744 and 745" talk as there might be elsewhere. Glad to see you, GTG- hope you stick around. We'll get that Canadian in here soon as we can. Chief

He's in

Alright, Mili, better get ready! I got some drag racing buddies over here now, and we're ready to test, race and BS with the best of 'em. You'll like having these two guys on here- they're lots of fun, very helpful and will bring you some good business. Just slip 'em a good bin now and then and as they say, they're "Good to Go". Glad to have you two on board-I don't feel quite as helpless in among these experts. Be talkin' to ya! Chief

You're in, Blazer's in

4x4, your little avatar made the trip! The rest of you guys oughta see a full-size picture of that rig! That rascal will outrun radar- it's got about 3 million horsepower. Probably Canadian horses. (Is that good, or bad!?). Glad you're on board with us, 4x! Chief

PM me with an valid email address and I'll show you some good pics... The reason I say valid is that hotmail or yahoo just won't handle the large files ( Pictures )

Let's race

Mark, since I have no reason to start whining about the bins, guess I'd better bench race a little. By the way, Good to Go, send any greenback overflow down this way. PM me and you can have my real address, pronto. HEEHAW
Mark, your engines have probably already said my name- it is CAM. For real. I've been called "full race", "roller tappet", "Isky" and so forth all my life. My personal fun car is a fully restored SS396 1969 Camaro. The 396 has gone to that great junkyard in the sky and has been replaced with a 502 crate motor with a few updates. Not real radical- but tons of torque and lots of fun. Busting the tires loose at 70 MPH gets folks' attention. I live right down the road from top fuel racer Eddie Hill, so if I get the urge to drag 'em on down to South Carolina, I'll stop by his place and update my motor a little bit more!
Well, I've rambled on enough, I suppose. Good to see this place liven up a little. Ya'll take care- keep up the good work! Chief

Hey now!

Midwestcore,
Don't go badmouthin' six bangers.... I bet I could scare the shit out of you with one....
Chief,
Good deal.... I'm a first gen Camaro fan from the get-go.... I've had a few.... A 67 that I hot rodded (a lot).... A 69 Z-28 with all the options.... A 69 Yanko.... And the last good Camaros (even though it's technically second gen) a 70-1/2 Z-28....
Not to mention bunches of other cars I've owned and built.... I had a very mis-spent youth.... Hung around the boneyard far too much....
Right now I just have my Chevy 3500 dually and a 92 S10 Blazer 4x4.... The Blazer is pretty close to a ground up....
Maybe someday, when it grows up, it'll be as nice as 4x4's....

Betcha they wont..

..throw you off, that is, MWC. Sounds like you may throw your self off if they keep dissin' you like that. That bunch has got to be aware that people are getting a little tired of the indifference they show. That, and I think the jig's up on their other site that gives you exactly the same thing for half the price. And if they do give you the heave-ho, Mili sez he'll accept any and all refugees, right, Mili? Sometimes you have to speak your mind. I'll betcha nobody here ever gets you mad like that.
4x, glad you made it on the forums- I was hoping GTG could help us out since he's advertising that he tweaks computers for a living. For about 2 hours here it was slow as grass growing trying to get in, or nothing at all. Anyway, looks like its over.
Bigger avatars, yeah! I'd hate to invest in one of those $8000 sixty-inch LCD televisions just to see that old heap of 4x4's! Chief

Read your post

MWC, I went over there and read your post. I started to post myself but changed my mind. Here's an honest ol' Texas fat boy's opinion: I've been responsible for employees, family members, automotive newbies, you name it- for as long as I can remember. And all I've ever asked of any of them is to just do your best. Hell, I have no idea what a CMD82 is, but they don't ignore me on this site just because I'm not quite up to their standards. What's aggravating over yonder isn't so much that the scripts aren't working as advertised, but the fact that none of the people responsible for putting them on the site ever gives an update as to what's going on. I've had personal e-mails from Mili apologizing for taking so long to release a new bin(I might have waited 2 hours max), along with a full explanation. The man's doing his best, and that's what matters in the end.
They won't ban you over there. They don't pay any attention to people's problems - I doubt they'll even notice your deal.
I appreciate all of you- let's make this a fun place to hang, test, bs and bench race. Amen? Amen. Chief

You guys are all more than welcome here.... I for one enjoy the company....
I promise to do my part to not become impersonal....
I've met some pretty interesting individuals on this forum (past versions included).... I have standing invites from Canada (BC guys, don't get scared) to the Cayman Islands.... I think that's pretty fuckin' cool.... I cherish the friendships I've made along with the knowledge I've gained from answering your questions....
All that weepy crap out of the way,
Let's try not to lower ourselves by talkin' bad about other folks here (that coming from a Southern Baptist).... Kay guys?

Hey Mark ( mdeven ) ,

Nobody talking trash about this site , you see we all came over from a site called hack4 and I think you can tell from the posts that we are all a little pissed off .. Hence, the reason we are here !!! To all the other guy's I got all my stuff from mili and up and running without a glitch .haha

To midwest , just to let you know dboss is a silent partner of kool aids , that would be why he was knocking you down ...

As to this site , very honest and good people !!!!
Lets keep it that way ...

My new home !!!!

Clearin' the air

We'll certainly comply, Mark, and move any gossip over to PM's or e-mails. I met 4x4, valenti, mwc, GoodToGo, drsorders over at the aforementioned other site and they're a quality bunch. They've done more to help newbies, and dummies, get a handle on their problems than any of the mods ever did, and they just got tired of being swept under the rug. I got 'em started over here, and they aren't whiners. Please understand we just felt the need to clear the air and get a few things off our minds.
That being said, we're ready for some good fun and good testing. Tell Mili since he's not into cars to keep up the good bins and at least entertain us with some tennis stories now and then. And keep that hauler between the ditches...Chief

Two posts in a row, sorry..

...but I had to extend an invitation to MdEven. Mark, I'm draggin' a load of cars to the OKC auction here in about 5 minutes- if you were a little closer I'd just let you drive so you could feel right at home. No propane in the diesel, though- just a tank of #2. See ya'll about 10:30. Don't let 4x4 get carried away...Chief
