Is my plastic shot?
I'm a newbie. I downloaded checksum blocker and generated a blocker for a Rom3, unmarked. I first checked E007 and it was not FF. I used the default "nagraedit unlock code" in checksum. It is "DEADBEEFBAADF00D" When I wrote to card, the message said it had an error writing backdoor code. I assumed that was because of the unlock code generated by checksum blocker. But, when I tried to read the card, it said the backdoor was closed. So, I clicked the unlocker in Nagraedit, entered the "unlock code", and it says code is not good. Question!!! What did I do wrong? Is there any way I can force nagraedit to accept the unlock code? Have I destroyed the card? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. LocoMex

The o's in food are actually zero's. Are you putting it in that way?

Yes. After doing a lot of reading, I discovered that hex does not go as high as the letter "O", so that if I see that symbol, it has to be the number zero. So, I did put zeros in the default unlock code. Can this be reopened by using something like rompuke or another unlocker?

Rom 3 does not use the backdoor password. That's for rom10 only.
With checksum blocker you should be able to read the cam even with the blocker on it. What cam rev does nagra report when you try read the cam? My guess is you did not write the blocker to the cam. Or the patch was not applied correctly when you did. If it's at rev382 that is likely the case. Assuming you don't have a newer version of checksum then me that spoofs rev382. Any chance you saved the image as a bin before writing it to the cam? You could check the image to make sure the blocker was applied. t160hq |

The card is (was) a Rom3, Rev372. I did not change the unlock code on Checksum. I just left the default in place. Then, I generated a blocker. In Nagraedit, I did my programming, and then added the blocker last. While writing the blocker, I got an error message referring to writing the backdoor code. I just assumed that the reason for this was because of the unlock code on the checksum blocker it just wrote to the card. It did change the rev to 382. Now, it does not allow me to read the card, saying the backdoor is either closed or the unlock key is incorrect. Could it be a problem with my loader? Probably just my stupidity. Before this, the card opened fine and provided me with the backdoor key, etc.
