Already had an idea

I'm totally inspired by that Monster Garage show....
I want to put it in a PT Cruiser.... Mid engine with a 5 speed transaxle.... Rear wheel drive like God meant cars to be....
There's some design shit to work out yet....

I have always said the motor should be bigger than the car itself .. and don't forget , real hot rods have more than one carburator .. Oopps , fuelie guy , I forgot ..

If your gonna do that to a PT cruiser than you might as well put in a hemi in it !!

And yes I watch Monster Garage on my satellite dish with a script from mili ..
( sat discusion now )

My 3m is good , how about you !!

A Hemi would be nice, but I already HAVE a tri-powered 440 sitting in the shop waiting to be assembled.... Well, I want to massage the heads a little more too.... I love working on cylinder heads!
My 3M is fine thanks.... It's a fused type so I have to tweak it here and there.... It can make you lose your religion every so often, but it's just TV....

Can't believe I just now saw this. Whoopee! Mark, if you're a head man you'd love to meet a fella here that did all of fuel racer Eddie Hill's heads for years, was his crew chief for a while and now specializes in cylinder head sork for 6 cylinders. I remember you saying you were hoppin' one up in a 1992 Blazer. Man, this guy can make those V6's sing- he's done the heads on several national record holders- we're talkin' 700 dyno HP out of 250 cubic inches, on gasoline, no nitrous, naturally aspirated. He has one in a little '32 roadster that holds the NHRA E/EA quarter mile record at 8.44 seconds @ 158 MPH. ONE four barrel carb. He also sends a lot of NASCAR heads your way- I know the Carolinas are a haven for roundy-rounders. A 440 Six Pack in a PT? Oh, baby. Save me a spot in it... Chief

Re 4x4 comment "I have always said the motor should be bigger than the car itself " My wife says that about guys and their dicks!

Also, someone talk 4x4 into posting a pic of the Predators he's got sitting on top of that big JESUS tunnel ram. MAN, when I saw that I was experiencing what Freud would have described as "Carburator Envy"

I'll take any of you clowns on in my big 3 liter Dodge Caravan.

Hey, Val

How many of them wheels do you want!? Lots of 'em to be had down in these parts.... Don't make fun of those Minivans. There's a guy in town- this is the truth- his personal driver is a Ford Aerostar, 406 inches (bored and stroked 351 Cleveland) with about a 400 horse nitrous system. He owns a nationally-known business called Nitrous Express. You can bet that sucker's tubbed (in the back now, Val, in the back!).
And speakin' of wives and big 'uns, didja hear about the old gal that slapped the crap out of her husband out of the blue, he asks her why, she sez "That's for having such a little pecker!". A few minutes pass, and the old man slaps the crap out of his wife, knocking her about 15 feet. When she managed to get up and stumble over to him and ask him why, he replied, "That's for knowing that there's more than one size!". HEEHAW Chief

have to admit

ANYBODY can go fast in a straight line....
I freely admit to being a NASCAR fan! I'm a circle track freak.... Us rednecks will race anything.... I'm even thinking about circle tracking wiener dogs
Chief I can get completely lost working a set of heads.... Next thing, I look up and hours have past.... That's where the power comes from....
Carbs are fine for vacuum sources, but you can't touch injection....
My brother had a 429 in a freakin boat.... On top of that was a chrome blower.... On top of that were two chrome Predators (like yours 4x).... In a freakin boat! NO FUCKING WAY would I get in that thing.... I'll do 200 on land.... 400 in the air.... But anything over 30 on water is insane.... water was meant for fishing.... My opinion....

How about a little head

Yeah, Mark, I've ported a few sets of small block Chevy heads myself. It's kinda like gettin' on this computer- the time flies. And don't be dissin' us straightliners. Go up to Rockingham or over to Atlanta when the drags are in town and tell John Force that "Anybody can drive in a straight line!". See what he says. Huh, 4x? But I'm with ya for sure on the boat deal. The aforementioned Eddie Hill used to race 'em until his bad crash. They timed- and this is the truth- after he was thrown from his boat they timed his BODY through the lights at the end of the quarter mile at 205 MPH. He ran a blown Keith Black Hemi on Nitro (About 4000 HP at the time) in that thing, but I think after that deal he decided to keep his feet dry. You talk about running weenie dogs around in circles- look on the net sometime under belt sander racing- they actually drag race belt sanders, they got an organization called NBSRA or something like that. Some folks will do anything for a little entertainment... Chief

that's right

Got this idea....
Everybody is always trying to go faster than the next guy.... Someone always wants to be ahead of you.... Chief can tell you, when you weigh 6500 lbs (you Canucks translate for yourselves), someone is always fucking with you....
With that in mind, I was going down the road the other day, when this asshole comes flying up beside me approaching a RED light and slams on the brakes....
So now to the idea part....
Why not race to stop?
We could set up different divisions or classes.... What the fuck, I bet it would work....

Ok Mark , now I know you are loosing it !!!
Stop racing ???? ahahaha

On the other post I gotta go with the Chief on that one , I like just about anything with a motor in it but I have been a drag racer for over 30 years and it is not as easy as it looks ... hell ,you just sit in a nitro or even an alcohol dragster and it scares the shit outta ya when the throttle is cracked ..
When I used to travel with the Kardiac Kids Funny Car I was the guy that would sit in the cockpit and hang onto the brake with both hands when they would crack it , it was up on jack stands and I thought for sure the car was going to fall off ...
Anyways , because I wasn't workin the throttle ( just the brake ) I didn't know when Fred was gonna crack it , I knew it was coming and I said to myself don't get scared and then all of a sudden Wam , scares the shit outa me , and that was just sittin still !!!
We had alot of fun , we would be idleing the car in the warm ups and some guy would come along with his girlfriend and they would bend over to have a look and Fred would carack the thing and there hair would blow and scare the shit outta them , and me too ... That was when the car was running in the high 6's..
Now the cars are in the 4's ....
Owe man !!!!

Hey, I did the straight line shit too.... There's just a little more involved in going 500 miles (4x4: translate).... I love the shit out of the off-road races too.... Actually, just about any races.... Even stop-racing!

NBRA

National Brake Racing Association. You gotta love it. Only a SC redneck would come up with that. Mark, we'd all get our asses kicked by every woman that ever got between the wheel. Never saw one yet that didn't charge a stoplight- seems like I put brake pads on my wife's driver every 5000 miles. Hey, that R/R racing ain't that bad- not like the drags, but not bad! I live an hour and a half from Texas Motor Speedway, been there once for a big truck race (They haul ass- 178MPH lap average) and they're gonna build another track 50 miles up the road from me- a smaller one for the Busch Grand National cars. No shortage of racin' venues in this area! And, think I'm kiddin' about the belt sanders? Go to www.beltsanderracing.com and join the NBSRA! One problem- they ain't figgered out how to run 'em in circles yet! Chief

OK listen...I was never going to admit this, but I think this is probably the right group of people to admit it to. I'm Gay...no no no that's not it.

My favorite type of Auto Racing is Formula One...Unlimited Budgets, (I think Ferrari is planning to spen $16millionUS on its 5 engine program alone for Schumacher's car this year) Beautiful Women (OK that's in all racing), Free Beer and Tires from the sponsers. Too bad the fucking tickets to see a god damn race are $200.00 for shity seats. OK OK I know it's low power compared to what you straight line guys are talking about, but I gotta tell you...there's something about an 1800 HP aluminum block fuel injected V10 reving at 18,000RPM (YES 18,000, that's not a typo) that just gives me a big HARD ON)...But then again, My Big Dodge Caravan has the same effect on me.

Listen boys, it tell ya that Dodge is a real Chick Magnet. I drive up to the local watering hole, and the babes are just giggling away when I drive up. :+]

Snowmobilin'

That's what I thought about 'em too- figured, ho, hum- less exciting than a belt sander race- until I saw one of 'em run 9.00 at 150 MPH (!) at the Texas Motorplex (That's a DRAG STRIP for you guys that run in circles). ANYBODY can run in a straight line, right, Mark? I don't think even a crazy Canadian would hop on that dude....Chief

I already told him

.....and he said to have you stop by Tony Stewart's pit and tell him to stop running around in circles and straighten up. That is, if they'd let you within 500 yards of the pit area. Ahhh..smell the nitro- feel that 5G's- 0 to 250 MPH in 3 seconds- are ya excited yet!? Chief
