Don't recall if this has been discussed before but.....

I found two RCA Ultimate TV ird's for $40 and $50 each.

Can these be NOZKT'd or used with HU's?

I was snooping there, go to www.rca.com and then do a search for that IRD dwd490re and at the bottom click the drop box and you will see it at the bottom, the file is in pdf format, you will need acrobat, GTG...........

The 490re has all of the files on the hard drive. These files can be modified. There is however no public NOZKT hack. You can access the harddrive. Right now this unit has an update to version 3.7 in the stream. When you units take the update they will not work with an HU. You would reload the old code or find a NOZKT mod. For that price I would buy them. If you do not want them I would buy them and resell them. I would be interested for that price. Since I am not a computer guy I am at the mercy of the real good hackers and hope a fix is released.

You get a chance to look at the prints for the 490re yet? you know if the 480 is similiar or identical with some different bells and whistles with respect to modding it for a no zkt ?, GTG.
