I was at a local store the other day and saw a double BEV system. It was called the 3130, it had a 3100 an a 2700A receiver with 20 inch dish and remotes and cards. I am not sure what cards though, I would imagine ROM 10's. CAn anyone tell me what the difference is between a 2700 and a 2700A, did BEV make a new 2700 to try and make hacking it harder or something like that. If anyone has bought or seen this same system please give me all the info you have on it.

All they are,are refurbished models that come with a locked ROM 10 or possibly a ROM 11,but haven't seen many of those.

Man that is crappy, they wanted 299.99 cdn plus tax for it, and it is a refurb, what a rip off. Not to menion tha whole locked card business. There goes that idea, thanks.

I do believe Future Shop is offering that pkg for $199. That is price after the mail-in rebate, so to get that deal, you'll have no choice but to subscribe (which I encourage).

You get one Rom 10 and one Rom 11 with that package,a 2700 reciever and a 3100 and a dish and remotes!Its a friggen hassle as they want all youe info ie address,license etc to make sure you subscribe.When you say that you are buying it for a gift they want that persons address.Man Bell is cracking down on the BestBuy and Future Shop retailers cause they know we be modifing their equipment!Good Luck
