I have an artic cat sled, please do not ask the year or model as this piece of crap in composed of 3 different machines in one.
Oversized to 500cc's. Basicly use it around the lot to fuck around and what not.

Anyways, I know what the problem is, I just can not find a generic electrical part that would fix my minor problem.

I have no lights or hand warmers, like nothing at all. I replaced the headlight but as soon as I revved up too high, it fuckin light up like you would'nt believe and then burned out.

I know I need to install a 12v limitter in line but can not find such a device.

Please help, I am in Canada, and Canadian tire is full of 15 year old pimple faced idiots.

check around for a snowmobile wreckers, and just get a volatage regulator on another old sled,They shouldn't be that hard to find.I don't know how many snow mobile wreckers are in your area but we have one not for from where I live in canada

Problem is, the part is roughly 40$ but all fuckin shops around are closed until Jan 3rd.

I have a party this week end and was wondering if there was a Mc Guiver I could do until I can get the part

Go to an automotive parts store and get an ignition resistor. It will cut down the voltage the same as it does when you run a point ignition. They are rectangular shaped with a small coil wound wire resistor inside. This should cut down the voltage at least a couple of points. If you want to be creative you could make your own out of 8 gauge solid wire. Also you could go to radio shack and get a heavy built pot and just adjust the voltage coming straight out of alt. This would be better because if you run too high of voltage very long you will burn out more than lights. You will start burning out electrical components. Then that $40 will seem like a real good deal. Have fun and good luck.
(PS. I would buy the voltage reg. And not mess with the other stuff if you can. Too many things can be ruined messing with unregulated voltage. Just my thoughts on the matter.)

see if the parts store has a fan reastat. Its basicaly a wire wound pot. It will handle the current draw better than any of the above and maybe keep you from spending mega bucks on your other electrical parts. If you dont cut down the voltage your going to burn out stuff like your coil,ignighter,battery and so on.
