XM works ok until you get up past Edmonton kind of thing. Not sure about how far up north it works in Ontario. Since 90% of Canadians live within 200miles of the border it should not be a problem for most of us.

Sirius has a stronger signal in Canada and farther north so you won't get as many dropouts driving around. That will change when XM put's up their new birds soon which will up the signal strength in Canada to equal or better Sirius.

What sort of antenna do you have? I am talking about signal strength. If you use a dashboard antenna you may have more problems but maybe not if your antenna is on the roof with no obstructions.

I live near the 49th and my Sirius has no problems with a dashboard antenna but my friends XM drops out the odd time with his.

xm works fine in the toronto and surrounding area. I've used mine from windsor to montreal no problem. Also went as far north as north bay without any loss of signal. This all with a rooftop antenna.
