Winexp locks up

When I try to run a script for unlocking in Winexp everything just freezes and it says it is not responding? I know the communications port is correct because I can flash and re-flash using UFP16. Any help would be appreciated

Need more info., ie: Windows ver., did you reset the settings in WinEx 5.0 and save as Loader2 ? What unlocker are you using, exact error message. Type of modded loader ?

Unlocker was purchased from modchipit - 911, flashed with newd6.exe.program.hex, Win98. Settings in Winexp are exactly what was in the guide to modded loaders in the sticky. Variable power supply set to 9 volts. Green light is always on. Comport is Com1. I know the port is correct because I have flashed it with the above hex using UFP16.

I have tried a bunch of the Rom3 scripts and they all freeze up WinExp
