Meat Cakes

Here is one for ya.

I pick up a large flank steak and have the butcher run it though the tenderizer two times.

Stretch that baby out on a large cutting board and add some garlic salt.

Put a layer of thin sliced mushrooms all over it and then a little more garlic salt.

Cover the mushrooms with thin sliced bacon and then just a little more garlic salt for good measure.

Next, roll up the flank stake into a big log. Make it tight and pin it with some toothpicks.

Slice it into about 1 ½” pieces and toothpick them to hold them together. They look like meat cinnamon rolls.

Slap those babies on the grill and cook until they are just right.

I usually make a double batch when we have summer BBQs. Everybody loves them.

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
