It's in the right section, so don't start slamming me. I just got off the phone with one of my Vietnamese friends (Into Sat stuff big time for years). Anyway he says that you bring your receiver to a guys house in Toronto, he will program the yellow card (I forgot to ask him if it was yours or his) and he will program it, put it in your receiver hook it up and you can check it out and verify that all channels are working. Pay him $600 but there is no warranty. Once you leave his place, it could last only one minute and you are screwed.

He said that you can choose either Direct TV or Nagra 2 card to go with. Still $600.

I told him that while it would be awesome to actually see it hacked, there's no way I would pay $600 to get a card programmed.


I think he is going to wait a few weeks to see what happens, because usually once a hack is out, it spreads like wildfire, as everyone knows.

Anyway, just another unverified rumour.

At this time $600 is on the high side and $250 is on the low side.

I would be really skeptical about his claim of "P4 or Nag2". That sets off little red flags in my mind about this particular persons credibility. I do not belive the P4 is compromised yet while the 101 is highly rumoured to be hacked. Not saying your guy can't do it, but I would watch him like a hawk becuase I really get a red flag going off in my head when he throws the P4 in there.

There aren't even any decent P4 rumors let alone hacks. I'd be careful. Don't take cash with you - you could get jumped!

There has been much talk about a 'temporary' N2 hack.

Several people have said they could get a card to work for a few hours than the security kills it.

If they are advertising "No Guarentee" this would fit in perfectly. They show you it works, you pays your money and leave and 3 hours later you have a ice scraper and there ain't a damn thing you can say about it, remember you agreed. no guarentee.

I would never pay $600 for a hack. I was just giving advice to a friend to do the same.

If this is legit, in a few weeks it will be all over the net and a lot less $$. Would be nice to have Porn Back, but who knows. Now is certainly not the time to fork out any major bucks for anything in the satellite 'test' area. A large portion of channels on dish are still working fine with N1.

Let's wait and see what unfolds.
