When you open jkeys with your ird attached to jtag....in drop down menu select flash U22 and erase.Add ird to stream and away you go. The Blocker only comes into effect if youre programming your cam...if not don't worry about it. |

All you really needed to do is point the pan to one of Charlies birds, then erase SA3 (3100), SA5 (2700), etc. Then connect to sat feed and wait about 9 mins for the Dish F/W to download. Voila!
goga, you never did mention the IRD model... |

What! Thread titles actually mean something! Well blow me down as popye would say. Couldn't resist Chapster. :-)
Goga too late to erase a sector sounds like you already erased the whole U22 flash. Or do you erase the sector in U23 Chapster? Or you can go to www.dssftp.com and pick up file number 50 in the TSOP bank and flash both U22 and U23. Don't forget to change the IRD and Boxkeys with Flashedit and fix the crc before flashing. Then hook up the sat and stream update to P210. t160hq |

If you have deleted the tsop and along with it the boxkeys...I hope you have a backup or at least have the b/k written down somewhere......

It's no biggie even if he can't get the original BK. Use NE and create new ones. Then program your CAM/ATmega with the same #'s. Only thing is, if you revert back to BEV, and you're subbed, your CAM won't work anymore.

It's no biggie at all. Worse case, he can get a dssrev, or better yet, another plastic (if that's what he's using). Now I've read this thread again and this time I KNOW he didn't mention the device he's using, lol. He also didn't say if he's subbed to BEV at all (but I'd rather not know...).

I don't think you understood my point here..chaptser99... I meant if every testing device were to fail then he would have no TV. dSSrev is another testing device! Goga. You say you have a back up of tsop bin then all you have to do is flash it back to ird and back to life....unless you have deleted your bootstrap then youre going to have to get the 301 ressurecting file and bring it back this way...this is not hard at all...but please make sure you read it and understand it first before you begin as you could have a doorstop. In your backup bin..... Open your bin with a hexeditor and go to address 0xFFF4....here you'll find your boxkeys..this is in the U23 bin.Your ird #is at address 0xFFF0...these are all in HEXDECIMAL.
