safety???

I'm thinking about getting a dvb (s) card. However, is there a chance we can get "caught?"

I mean, back when n1 was working, we just had to worry about not plugging in the telephone line.

Now, would they be able to trace ANYTHING? I have wireless internet and a nifty hard drive... can they see anything, or, can they only send information?

Don't worry about anything but reading up on the DVB cards. There is a lot that you will need to learn before you install it.

Thanks. I already read a lot. And, I've seen some comparison charts. I'm looking at the 1020a, or maybe the usb skystar. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go this route.

But, can I get pin pointed? Is there anything unique I should know about dvb cards before I purchase one? Thanks!

I would suggest to hold out for the time being. Give the powers that be time to give us plastic back. Maybe even an atmega or avr type of solution. No need to buy stuff that you don't have to. After all, better to wait to see whats up than to spend $$$ on other shit. Other shit is a last resort. The N2 era has just begun.
