Help ....

I bought a used 95" Mazda B2300 Truck about a year ago from this guy. It has some sharp rims but here's the problem. .. Last week while going to have new tires put on , the mechanic told me that i need a "key" for the lug nuts. I cannot find the guy that sold me the truck and whats worse is that few people are willing to mess with it since the rims will get messed up . Accroding to the few people i have talked to the rims have since been discontinued . Where should i start ???

If you just need to get one lugnut off, you can buy a special socket at just about any part store that will remove those special lugnuts. Or go to a shop that sells wheels. They might be able to help.

Also if you can find a place that used to sell them, they always have a few extra "keys" around for the mechanics to use when customers forget theirs. (can't mis a tire sale for a forgotten key )

mac, matco, and snap-on all sell sockets for impacts to take off the locking lug nuts without any damage to rims. i think the kit is around 50 dollars.

I used to use a 12 point 18mm socket hammered on over top. Obviously this must be done very carefully but did it to many a car over the years.
